By booking a service through this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not proceed with booking.

Cleaning Crew

Your cleaning team will typically consist of two dedicated professionals. In some cases, additional team members may be assigned to ensure we complete more complex jobs efficiently. We strive to keep the same familiar faces in your home while still providing our staff with cross-training for the highest quality service.

As a family-owned and operated business, we take pride in ensuring every member of our team upholds the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Crew Arrival Time

We organize our cleaning schedule to minimize drive time, helping us keep prices low and avoid trip fees. While we will make every effort to honor specific time requests, exact appointment times cannot be guaranteed.

Due to the unpredictable nature of our work — including factors such as traffic, weather, or mechanical issues — we appreciate your flexibility. These circumstances are sometimes beyond our control.

In most cases, we will arrive no more than 30 minutes early or 45 minutes late from the scheduled time. If we anticipate running late, we will call or text you as soon as possible to keep you informed.

Cleaning Day Preparation

We ask that you take a few minutes to tidy up before your cleaning team arrives to allow easy access to the areas/surfaces to be cleaned: floors, countertops, tabletops, etc. If you’d like our cleaners to do these tasks for you, please call us in advance so we can be prepared to spend any additional time.

Pets

We’re happy to work in homes with pets and will do our best to make them feel comfortable. For efficiency and safety, we ask that indoor activity be kept to a minimum during your cleaning. If a pet becomes anxious or poses a safety concern, Wahlers Home Cleaning Service reserves the right to remove our team from your home.

For everyone’s protection, our staff will not enter a home if they believe an animal may be a threat. Please note that pets can behave differently when their owners are not present. If our team must leave due to aggressive pet behavior, our standard cancellation policy will apply.

Right To Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if safety concerns arise, including inappropriate or uncomfortable situations, the presence of weapons, severe clutter, or disconnected utilities.

Our team members may also leave the property if they encounter extremely unsanitary conditions or feel unsafe or threatened. If a scheduled cleaning is deemed unreasonable upon arrival and service is declined, the standard cancellation fee will apply.

Booking Confirmation & Cancellation Fees

Booking through our online system indicates your preferred date and time, but does not guarantee availability. We will contact you by email or phone to confirm your appointment.

To reserve a cleaning date and time for one-time services, a $50 deposit is required. For clients enrolled in our weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly packages, your booking will be confirmed as one of the services included in your package.

This deposit or scheduled service is non-refundable. For one-time cleanings, the deposit will be applied toward your total cleaning cost.

WE REQUIRE AT LEAST 24 HOURS NOTICE of a cancellation or reschedule (this is to secure jobs for our cleaners for the next day, and will give us time to find a replacement job).

If canceling a single booking, the $50 booking confirmation fee will automatically convert into a cancellation fee in case you fail to notify us 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. The $50 is non-refundable, which means you will have to pay another deposit when booking a new service.

All new clinets require a credit card or payment method on file for billing.

Service Fees

To avoid any surprises, we will call you in advance if we determine that additional time will be needed to complete your cleaning.

We reserve the right to adjust rates at any time based on the actual time required to meet our quality standards and your expectations.

Payment & Refund Policy

Payment Policy:
Single-service cleanings must be paid on the day of service by cash or credit card. New clients are required to have a credit card on file, which will be charged in accordance with your service agreement.

Refund Policy:
We do not offer refunds. Our business is built on delivering the highest quality service and standing behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee. However, we understand that, on rare occasions, something may be overlooked. If that happens, we will make it right.

In the rare instance you are not completely satisfied with your service, simply email or call us within 24 hours and we will rectify the error at no charge.

Access to the Home/Lockouts/Alarms

Home Access Policy:
Clients are responsible for ensuring our team can access the property on the scheduled service day. If our crew is locked out, we will make every effort to contact you and arrange entry. If contact cannot be made within 20 minutes of arrival, the cleaning will be skipped, and a $50 cancellation fee will apply to compensate our team for lost time and travel. To avoid this fee, please provide a reliable method of entry, such as a key or access code.

Key & Lockbox Procedure:
For your security, we recommend using a lockbox or other secure location on your property to store your house key. We do not store client keys off-site. Once your cleaning is complete, the key will be returned securely to the lockbox or designated location.

If you choose to leave your home unlocked or place a key somewhere other than a secure lockbox, Wahlers Home Cleaning Service cannot be held responsible for any resulting damages or theft.

Security Systems:
If your home has a security system, please ensure it is turned off on cleaning day or provide us with the access code and instructions. If your code changes, notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled cleaning.

Cleaning Supplies

We provide all the equipment and cleaning products needed to thoroughly clean your home. If you prefer that we use specific products, please let us know at the time of booking and ensure those items are fully stocked and available on your scheduled service date.

If you request the use of your own cleaning supplies, Wahlers Home Cleaning Service is not responsible for any damage resulting from those products. To help us work efficiently, please have all necessary chemicals and tools ready for our team upon arrival.

Use Of Homeowner’s Supplies/Equipment

If you request that we use your own supplies and/or equipment, Wahlers Home Cleaning Service will not assume liability for any damage to those items. Because we are not responsible for their maintenance, we cannot be held accountable for repairs.

If the requested supplies and/or equipment are not in working order or available upon our arrival, we will be unable to perform the requested services. In such cases, we will attempt to contact you to confirm whether we may use our own supplies and equipment instead.

If we are unable to reach you within 20 minutes of arrival, the cleaning will be skipped and a $50 cancellation fee will apply.

Items We Cannot Clean

Mold Policy:
Mold removal is considered a specialty service and can pose potential health risks. Wahlers Home Cleaning Service cannot be held liable for any mold-related issues present in a client’s home.

Biohazard & Restricted Cleaning Policy:
For health and safety reasons, we do not clean hoarding situations or areas containing animal or human body fluids, including blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages, urine, or other biological waste.

Unreachable Areas & Heavy Items

For safety and liability reasons, our employees are not permitted to climb higher than a three-step stool or perform work outside of your home. Additionally, cleaners may not move objects weighing more than 25 pounds.

If you would like cleaning performed behind heavy furniture or appliances, please move these items before your scheduled service.

Breakage/Damage & Loss Policy

While rare, the possibility of breakage or damage can occur during cleaning. Our team exercises the utmost care in your home, and Wahlers Home Cleaning Service carries insurance for damage or breakage caused by our cleaners.

We are not liable for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper installation, or to artwork, collectibles, or family heirlooms not disclosed during booking. These items are often irreplaceable, so we ask that you point them out before service begins and provide specific instructions for their care.

Any breakage or loss must be reported within 24 hours of the service. We will make every effort to provide an identical replacement, though this cannot be guaranteed.

Holidays

Wahlers Home Cleaning Service does not perform cleaning services on recognized U.S. holidays.

If your scheduled day falls on a holiday, we will contact you to reschedule. The following holidays will be observed:

  • Independence Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day

  • New Year Eve

  • New Year

Inclement Weather

If inclement weather makes it unsafe for our cleaning teams to travel, we may close for the day and will provide as much notice as possible. In such cases, your service will be rescheduled at no additional cost at the earliest available time.

Governing Law

Any claim relating to the Wahlers Home Cleaning Service website shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

We have designed our website to be useful, informative, helpful, and transparent. If you have suggestions for improvements or changes that could make it easier to find the information you need, we welcome your feedback.

Wahlers Home Cleaning Service reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice to you.
